Goals The CUIMPB – Centre Ernest Lluch is tasked with managing the permanent campus of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) in Barcelona. The UIMP’s celebrated university campus coordinates and develops UIMP activities around culture, research, and specialized training, bringing together students and faculty from various university degrees and courses of specialization. Our mission is to promote both culture and science and to encourage the exchange of scientific and cultural information pertinent on both regional and international levels. Location Our offices are temporarily located at c/Ferlandina, 49, baixos (ground floor). The University is located at the Barcelona Center for Contemporary Culture (CCCB; c/Montalegre, 5). The majority of academic and cultural activities organized by the University are held here. The building, which opened in 1994, is built on top of the foundation of the old Casa de la Caritat (Charity House) in the Raval neighborhood, and is currently one of the most active and innovative cultural venues in Barcelona. Collaborating Institutions The Menéndez Pelayo International University Consortium of Barcelona – Centre Ernest Lluch is composed of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP), the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Barcelona City Council, and the Barcelona Center for Contemporary Culture (CCCB).
